My friend Sam (and Aunty Louby)

My friend Sam and Aunty Louby came for a little holiday.

It was sooo exciting. I was running around and around in cirles on the first night.

Normally my Mum is number one, but not when my Aunty Louby is here - I liked to eat my dinner with her, have my bottle with her and have her read me stories - lucky she's my Godmother!

I gave Sam so many cuddles that Mum and Aunty Louby think we might get married one day but other people thought we were twins especially when we went out in our matching jackets.
but sometimes Sam tickles when you're having cuddles.
We had lots of fun having baths together, eating breakfast and generally running around.
Please come back and live in the North Island soon Aunty Louby (prefrably in the Waikato!)

Its my couch!

My pussy cat Tom thinks that the little pink couch is all his.

But I've got news for him - he still has to share with me even when I'm wearing my styley swimming hat around the house!

Let's Go

This afternoon while Mum was talking to Jenny I decided to raid her handbag.

I put on her hat and gloves and then to make sure I was completely ready to go, I got her credit card out of her wallet!

My big girl bed

Last Sunday I helped Mummy and Daddy set up my big girl bed.

I've been sleeping in happily ever since - its very cosy.

Snuggles

Sometimes after my bath I don't like to put clothes on, but its ok because I can snuggle with Daddy and Tom on the couch.

King Daddy

I've been sick for a whole week. It hasn't been fun but I've got to spend lots of time with my Granny and get Daddy to play funny games with me like wearing a crown.

I've also been learning lots of new things - I can now count to 10 all by myself!

Daddy's Birthday

My daddy had a birthday. I wished it was mine again but it was still fun.

I'd been sick all day so Mum and I didn't get to baking a cake, but we bought him one so that we could have candles.

Growing my hair...

My hair has been very slow to grow, but finally today Mum managed to make two little piggy tails - don't I look cute and very grown up because I'm a girl now not a bubba.

This is me in front of my dolls house that Mum and Dad gave me for my birthday. I have some tolo people to go in it that I decided to name last night. The girl I called Louby, the boy is called Sam and the baby is called Kate - I wonder where I got those names from!
PS: Nannie if you're reading this - this is the cardi that Granny would like the pattern for.

Mini Holiday

Mum, Dad and I went on a little break to Taupo.

It was lots of fun, I got a tour of the McDonalds playgrounds in Tokoroa and Taupo as it was too wet for any others....

we all went swimming and I was a very good girl at going to sleep. Mum and I dressed up in our 'cool dude' hats so we looked really styley.

I told Mum and Dad don't want home, go holiday for the whole last half hour of the trip home! Mum and Dad have promised we can go on another holiday soon.

Birthday Queen

Today I took a birthday cake to daycare to celebrate with my friends there.

They made me a special birthday crown to wear for the day.
I don't think I ever want my birthday to end...

My birthday party

Yay today I had my second birthday party.

I've been building up to it all week talking about my birthday and practising opening presents and it was everything I expected and more!

All my faourite people were there including Nana and Grandad all the way from Hawkes Bay.

I got very spoilt with lots of lovley presents and I got to play my favourite hiding game with my friends. Then me and my cousins pretended to be tigers to scare my Grandad.

Friends from the deep south

Yay - I love Field Days as my friends Kate, Sam, Louby and Stu come to stay.

We had lots of fun playing in the leaves and in the bath I wish they loved much closer to us...
The house next door is still for sale Uncle Stu!

Our new deck

My Grandad Johnston came to stay to build us a deck.

It was great fun as I got to see lots of him and Grandad Mac who was a labourer with my Dad.

They used lots of flash equipment - my favourite was the ear muffs!

Our new deck looks fabulous - thanks Grandad J and Grandad Mac and Daddy!

My exciting weekend

I am having the best weekend ever.

My Grandad Johnston has come to stay to build us a new deck (I'll post more photos once they've finished). Not only that, my other Grandad is helping so I get to see lots of Granny and Grandad too...

And then my cousins and Aunty Leah, Uncle Tony, Jenny, Mike, Jamie and Kyle came to have afternoon tea with us yesterday so we could have a cake for Mum's birthday and we all had turns blowing out the candles

I love my big cousin Jack because he teaches me all sorts of new tricks like hopping up and down the hallway and has running races with me.

He's also pretty clever at cake decorating - look what he did with my Mum's birthday cake!

More fun

I liked the cafe so much that I accidently (?) left my cup there so that we had to go back again this week to pick it up.

It was Mum's birthday so it was a great excuse to celebrate with Aunty Leah, Cooper and Granny.

Coffee Group Second Birthday Party

All the kids in our coffee group are turning two, so we had a party for all of us.

We went to this cool cafe in Cambridge where they served us lots of yummy food...but best of all they had rooms and rooms of fantastic things to play on like this car.
This is me having horse races with Ethan.

Gardening

I was helping Mum with the gardening last weekend.

She had her gardening gloves on so I had to put mine on too - the only problem was they were a little big....

Packing me!

I decided to see what I could pack in my day care bag - me!

I go myself in....

but when I tried to tuck my head in too it was a bit of a tight fit!

My big brother

My big brother came to visit a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't seen him in ages and I wasn't quite sure what a big brother was when Mum said he was here, but by the end of his visit I was happy to share some of my toys with him.
He must have liked them, because he says he wants to come back and stay again soon.

Catching up with friends

Mum and I went on a wee drive to Mokau to catch up with my friends Kate and Sam. Kate and I gave each other hugs and I held Sam's hand while he was practising his walking.
We had some lunch together and then played at the playground it was lots of fun.

My day just kept getting better when we stopped off to see Granny and Grandad on the way home. And they said I could go to see the Hot Air Balloons with them so I didn't get home until 9pm. What a day of adventures!

Breakfast with my family

This is me, Bethany and teddy all having breakfast together (just like Mum, Dad and I at dinner times at the big table!)

Growing up fast

I'm growing up fast and starting to be a real little girl and no longer Mum's baby.

This is me all dressed up in a pretty dress with stickers on it and hair clips in my hair.

I'm getting really good at talking and can put a couple of words together now and yell for Mum until she responds.

I know all about shopping and I have to make sure I take my handbag whenever I go out with Mum or Granny.

This week I decided to be just like Mum and when she was going to work with her red book I picked up my very important red book of drawings to take to daycare with me - that's what us working girls do you know.

Helping with the chores

I love water, so when Mum got out a big bucket of water to wash the floors I just had to help.

I made sure they were really clean by making sure there was lots and lots and lots and lots of water all over the floor.

Boots!

I love gumboots and my friend Kate leant me a pair of her old ones when I visited her.

I wear them everywhere - even to town - you don't necessarily need pants but you definitely need gumboots!

Easter

Easter bunny came to visit and he bought me a jigsaw and a car with coloured eggs in it. I like playing with all the eggs and driving the car (Mum and Dad haven't told me about eating chocolate yet)

Holiday in Invercargill

Mum and I went for a wee holiday to Invercargill.

It was so much fun I learnt lots of new tricks - like "ready steady go", jumping from great heights, riding bikes, hearding sheep and so much more...

Thanks Uncle Stu, Aunty Louby, Kate and Sam for a wonderful holiday - your turn to visit us next!

Nana & Grandad

My Nana and Grandad came to visit all the way from Hawkes Bay.

It was so much fun. I made them go to the park everyday and I was like Nana's little shadow.
I quite liked borrowing Grandad's hat too

Please come and visit again soon Nana & Grandad.
