Alex and his best friend Grandad

Daddy rides

Our grown up girl

Our big brave girl went and had her 4 year old injections done.
As a reward she was allowed to go to Old McDonalds for tea.

The next day she was even more grown up and went on a bus trip all the way to Auckland with kindy - her Mummy tried very hard not to worry too much!

Our bubba

Look at our big bubba. Someone found their old carry cot and loved having a play climbing in and out although I think it was more a boat or car than a bed.
The big bubba is officially weaned at 14 1/2 months and even sometimes considers sleeping through the night!

Alex 14 1/2 months

Hi, its me mischief maker.

Its very hard to get a photo of me these days as I like to chase the camera. In fact I am full of mischief full stop but I am feeling much better these days. We don't really know why, but I've gone from a child who never slept to one who takes my teddy and heads to my bedroom when I feel I need a sleep.

I'm saying lots more words like up, down, gone, ah oh, baa. brmm brmm. . I understand everything thats said to me and I can nod now instead of just shake my head.

Today Grandad came to drop something off and for the first time I even managed to say Grandad. I love my Grandad. He's even more popular than Mum, Dad or anyone. If he's around he's the only one I want to be with.

The three musketeers

This is Mackenzie and her friends Eve and Lauren. They all started day care together when they were only one and still love getting together for fun and games.
This was Eve's fourth birthday party although many of Mackenzie's friends from kindy are turning 5 and heading to school. Mackenzie can't wait to join them and plays schools all the time. She loves practising writing and is even starting to read her first words.

We're back!

Sorry its been so long since we posted any photos.

Alex got very sick and after some trips to hospital where he caught more bugs than cures he ended up sick for a month. After more trips to the specialist the docs still have no idea what's wrong with him but finally at 14 months he's starting to come right and even slept through the night for the first time ever!

On top of all this the camera has broken down, but here are some photos taken at kindy last week.

Alex walking

Alex decided he'd really get moving ready for his birthday. He now walks everywhere and reaches his Mr Tickle arms up into all sorts of mischief.

Swimming

We now have swimming at the same time so Dad has to come along and help for getting dressed time. He managed to take some photos of us practising our tricks.

Our new nanny

We have a lovely new nanny called Bridgette who looks after us while Mum works.

She makes sure we have lots of fun and even had Alex doing his first lot of art work.

Alex's real birthday

Another day and another birthday in our house. There were more presents, which Mackenzie was more than happy to assist with and more cake to eat (a teddy one just like Alex's this time).

Mackenzie's real birthday

To celebrate Mackenzie's birthday she had some of her kindy friends round for another party.
Because it was a kindy day she even got to stand up the front and have all the kids sing happy birthday to her too.

The Peter Pan Birthday Party

To celebrate our birthdays with our family and close friends we had a Peter Pan party (guess who chose the theme!)
Alex dressed up as Peter Pan, Mackenzie as Wendy. Grandad even came as Captain Hook!
Mum made us cakes - Alex's was Peter Pan and Mackenzie's Wendy
We played lots of fun games - like the no laugh race.
And were very spoilt with lots of lovely gifts - thanks everyone!

Visitors from the South

Our lovely friends from the deep South came to visit for Field days. We had lots of fun playing games

Going to the Kindy disco...

And to field days..

Thanks for visiting, come back soon!

Alex walking

Look I can walk. I started taking my first couple of steps at 10 1/2 months while we were on holiday but now I can take quite a few steps in a row and do it all the time. I like to walk between things and towards trouble.

I also have big long octopus arms that can reach up and find all sorts of mischief. My sister calls me mischief maker.

Birthday season has begun!

We got to open our first birthday presents this weekend because Nannie and Grandad were heading to Australia and dropped them off on their way. Birthdays are sooo much fun.
We decided to let Grandad have one day in the month to celebrate his birthday too.

It was lots of fun playing with our cousins...

Mackenzie even got brave enough to pat one of the big horses at the cafe all by herself!

Swimming

Mackenzie had a great swimming class on Saturday. She swam the whole pool and back on her back with a flutter board and swam with a noodle all the way down and back again!

Mica the clown

We had a clown, called Mica, come to kindy.

Us kids thought he was sooo funny - Mum loved watching us giggle.

Happy to be home

Holidays were fun but we were very happy to be home especially to give cuddles to Tom.

Holiday - week 2

Our second week of holiday was in Christchurch with Daddy, Granny and Grandad.

We celebrated Mum's birthday with dinner out... Went on lots of adventures with Granny and Grandad to: Science Alive - Mackenzie even got a hole in one with Grandad. The park.
The rides at the shopping centre when it got wet. We went to the Antarctic centre and experienced snow and an antarctic storm and saw penguins. Had sooo much fun at Orana Park feeding the animals and seeing them all up close. Hand feeding the giraffes was a definite highlight.

We took a ride on the tram, and fed the ducks on the avon and played in the leaves.
Thanks everyone for a fantastic adventure.
