My birthday party

Yay today I had my second birthday party.

I've been building up to it all week talking about my birthday and practising opening presents and it was everything I expected and more!

All my faourite people were there including Nana and Grandad all the way from Hawkes Bay.

I got very spoilt with lots of lovley presents and I got to play my favourite hiding game with my friends. Then me and my cousins pretended to be tigers to scare my Grandad.

Friends from the deep south

Yay - I love Field Days as my friends Kate, Sam, Louby and Stu come to stay.

We had lots of fun playing in the leaves and in the bath I wish they loved much closer to us...

The house next door is still for sale Uncle Stu!

Our new deck

My Grandad Johnston came to stay to build us a deck.

It was great fun as I got to see lots of him and Grandad Mac who was a labourer with my Dad.

They used lots of flash equipment - my favourite was the ear muffs!

My exciting weekend

I am having the best weekend ever.

My Grandad Johnston has come to stay to build us a new deck (I'll post more photos once they've finished). Not only that, my other Grandad is helping so I get to see lots of Granny and Grandad too...

And then my cousins and Aunty Leah, Uncle Tony, Jenny, Mike, Jamie and Kyle came to have afternoon tea with us yesterday so we could have a cake for Mum's birthday and we all had turns blowing out the candles

I love my big cousin Jack because he teaches me all sorts of new tricks like hopping up and down the hallway and has running races with me.

He's also pretty clever at cake decorating - look what he did with my Mum's birthday cake!

More fun

I liked the cafe so much that I accidently (?) left my cup there so that we had to go back again this week to pick it up.

It was Mum's birthday so it was a great excuse to celebrate with Aunty Leah, Cooper and Granny.

Coffee Group Second Birthday Party

All the kids in our coffee group are turning two, so we had a party for all of us.

We went to this cool cafe in Cambridge where they served us lots of yummy food...but best of all they had rooms and rooms of fantastic things to play on like this car.

Gardening

I was helping Mum with the gardening last weekend.

She had her gardening gloves on so I had to put mine on too - the only problem was they were a little big....

Packing me!

I decided to see what I could pack in my day care bag - me!

I go myself in....

but when I tried to tuck my head in too it was a bit of a tight fit!

My big brother

My big brother came to visit a couple of weeks ago.

I haven't seen him in ages and I wasn't quite sure what a big brother was when Mum said he was here, but by the end of his visit I was happy to share some of my toys with him.

He must have liked them, because he says he wants to come back and stay again soon.

Catching up with friends

Mum and I went on a wee drive to Mokau to catch up with my friends Kate and Sam. Kate and I gave each other hugs and I held Sam's hand while he was practising his walking.

We had some lunch together and then played at the playground it was lots of fun.

My day just kept getting better when we stopped off to see Granny and Grandad on the way home. And they said I could go to see the Hot Air Balloons with them so I didn't get home until 9pm. What a day of adventures!

Breakfast with my family

This is me, Bethany and teddy all having breakfast together (just like Mum, Dad and I at dinner times at the big table!)

Growing up fast

I'm growing up fast and starting to be a real little girl and no longer Mum's baby.

This is me all dressed up in a pretty dress with stickers on it and hair clips in my hair.

I'm getting really good at talking and can put a couple of words together now and yell for Mum until she responds.

I know all about shopping and I have to make sure I take my handbag whenever I go out with Mum or Granny.

This week I decided to be just like Mum and when she was going to work with her red book I picked up my very important red book of drawings to take to daycare with me - that's what us working girls do you know.

Helping with the chores

I love water, so when Mum got out a big bucket of water to wash the floors I just had to help.

I made sure they were really clean by making sure there was lots and lots and lots and lots of water all over the floor.

Boots!

I love gumboots and my friend Kate leant me a pair of her old ones when I visited her.

I wear them everywhere - even to town - you don't necessarily need pants but you definitely need gumboots!

Easter

Easter bunny came to visit and he bought me a jigsaw and a car with coloured eggs in it. I like playing with all the eggs and driving the car (Mum and Dad haven't told me about eating chocolate yet)

Holiday in Invercargill

Mum and I went for a wee holiday to Invercargill.

It was so much fun I learnt lots of new tricks - like "ready steady go", jumping from great heights, riding bikes, hearding sheep and so much more...

Nana & Grandad

My Nana and Grandad came to visit all the way from Hawkes Bay.

It was so much fun. I made them go to the park everyday and I was like Nana's little shadow.
I quite liked borrowing Grandad's hat too

I'm back

I'm sorry its been so long since I let you see some photos of me.

We've all been very busy. My Dad just works and works and works and Mum has to work and then come home and look after me so we don't get much time to take photos let alone post them.

But anyway, here are a few of my latest adventures...

This is me on holiday at the beach with Mum and Dad. I liked the pool (the beach) and the ducks (sea gulls) a lot. Although Mum and Dad didn't find it very relaxing as I wasn't keen to sleep at night.

This is me in the garden after helping mum water the flowers...

Sometimes after work (and daycare) Dad and I are really tired so we have a wee rest. I like to borrow my dolly Bethany's blanket and pillow to snuggle down with Dad.

My pussy cat Tom loves my couch. Luckily I love Tom so I don't mind sharing it with him although we sometimes argue over who gets the prime position. This is Tom, Bethany and I all sharing the couch nicely together.

Mum and Dad bought a new BBQ for their Christmas present.

I thought they should have spent the money on me and bought me a playhouse instead - but Mum built me this really cool one out of the boxes and Dad cooked us a yummy dinner on the new BBQ

So it was win win for all of us in the end!

Riding our bike

Mum got a cool bike seat for me for Christmas.

It means we can go on lots of adventures together.

Mum says I'll make an excellent personal trainer as everytime she stops I say "one more".

Aunty Kathryn's Wedding

For some reason I can't get the photos to upload of my Aunty Kathryn's wedding - I'll have another go at the weekend - in the meantime you can look at this one of me and Mum.

Busy Busy Times

My I have been having a very busy time, organising my Aunty Kathryn's wedding and keeping my Aunties and Uncles entertained with fun and games - it is very hard work. In between times, I have turned into somewhat of a fashionista - I like shoes and hats.

Looking after the pussy cats

I like to help my Dad look after our pussy cats. I give them lots of kisses and cuddles; and when Dad goes to get out a pack of jelly meat for them I try to do the same, although Mum says she doesn't think the cats will eat my gravy sachet.

Our New Pussy Cats

It's been a long time since our Mr Chess died and we've all been missing having a pussy cat around - so much so that we've been plotting to steal the neighbour's!

We finally decided to go and visit the SPCA and have a look at their pussy cats. Mum wanted one, but Dad was keen on two and there was a brother and sister in desparate need of a home so guess who now lives with us.

They're very friendly pussy cats who don't mind when I give them kisses and cuddles and like to tickle me with their tails which I think is very funny. At the moment they don't come out and play too much, but I'm hoping they'll feel at home soon so I can have lots more cuddles.
