Mackenzie had been begging for a trip to Lollipops so before school starts we went off on an adventure and had lots of fun playing with all the toys and climbing all the way to the top of the climbing frames.
We had friends from Wellington come to visit for a few days in the kindy holidays. It was great fun, we did lots of treasure hunts and explored lots of parks.Mackenzie is still asking why Ben could only come for 3 days.
I'm a very busy boy now and I'm talking lots more. Mum is still the only one who really understands but that's ok. If you don't, I just take your hand and lead you where I want to go - which is often the pantry.I also like lots of pretend play like taking teddy for a walk in the pushchair and making lots of cups of tea.
Uncle Ali came down to spend his birthday with us.We got all dressed up for the event and made him a tennis racket birthday cake (even if some people thought it was a guitar!)
Potty time is a real event in this house - everyone's invited! Alex has made more progress today asking to go wees on the big toilet twice and performing today. Now we just need to work on his aim!
After years keeping his sister away from technology, Alex can work the Ipad all by himself at 1. He knows how to turn it on, find what he wants and make all the games work - I blame his father!
We got up bright and early for the balloons this year. Mum even had to wake us up. As you can see from the photos, Alex is a bit like his Dad and isn't a morning person, but he perked up once the balloons started going up in the sky.We even managed to catch up with Granny, Aunty Kathryn, Uncle Matt and Bella.
Sorry we've been gone so long. Someone pinched our computer and then we had to get it all set up again - anyway the updates will all start appearing again now!
Here's Alex back in March sporting the latest fashion for babies - boots and nappies.
We went to the Hawke's Bay to visit Nannie and Grandad and so Mum and Dad could go to the mission concert.
It was a super long trip but we got to stop at Old Macdonalds in Taupo and its an extra special one with an aeroplane!
Grandad made it extra exciting by coming home in his police car to show us - we've very proudly showed this photo off at kindy too!
We had lots of fun going to the park and playing in the sprinkler, feeding the ducks and going on a farm visit, then having ice creams on the way home.
It was all over too fast, but at least Nannie and Grandad are visiting us now.
It was sooooo hot on Saturday we went for a picnic at the River.
We had lots of fun having a swim in the river and playing with the puppy dogs who were swimming too. Alex also put two words together for the first time - "Bye boat"
Luciella came to play after kindy. Luciella and Mackenzie play all sorts of exciting games at Kindy, although lately they've been having a lot of trouble finding princes and husbands to join in their games. They do say that kindy sets the groundwork for life!
Our cousin Bella came to play - in the pool and in the house, although she wasn't so impressed with Alex's lovely gentle pats to say hello - maybe it's because he was covered in sand from head to toe.
Bella also brought back Mackenzie's dolls cot which she'd been having a turn with, unfortunately Alex thought it was for him and not Bethany.
Hi, my name is Mackenzie Johnston. I'm a busy three year old who likes to play with my dolls, teddies and animals. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures
