So after being a champion sleeper at night I started waking mum up twice a night starving so she decided it was time for me to start some real food.
So far I think its pretty cool - I espcially like the fact that I get to join in meal times with my big sister - now if only she'll share those chips with me I'd be really happy!
Mum, Granny and I went on a very exciting outing to the ballet.
It was very late at night so I had to have a wee nap in the afternoon.
We got all dressed up in our best clothes.
Although Mum had prepared me for the story of the ballet she'd forgotten to mention there would be so many people watching the ballet with us so I was a bit surprised but I loved it, even though Captain Hook was a bit scary.
Two weeks later I'm still making mum read chapters from the book and asking non-stop questions.
I caught a nasty cold last week (and then shared it with Alex) so we've had a quiet week at home.
Alex playing in his exersaucer.
Me taking Alex for a ride in my car.
Alex practising sitting with me there to catch him.
Then on Saturday Grandad came over to help with our vege garden. I was feeling a bit better then and I was sooo pleased to see someone else that I spent lots of time helping him.
Then I needed to practise putting my hair in a bun ready for my ballet career.
This week we're having far more exciting adventures as we head to Invercargill on an aeroplane - yay!
We've been having lots of educational experiences with our nanny.
We made volcanoes in the sandpit
and I've been trying new foods - fried rice and now wontons.
Angela made so many wontons for us we had to have some extra people over for lunch, but I still think we'll be eating them for a week.
I love my cousin Bella and Aunty Kathryn lets me pretend she's a doll and play dolly dressups with her. Luckily Bella doesn't seem to mind. I did ask Mum if we could get a girl baby but Mum said she wasn't sure how to guarantee that and she didn't think I'd want to risk another boy - I don't really like boys although Mum tries to remind me that I know lots of nice boys like my cousins Jack and Cooper and my friends Jamie, Kyle, Sam and Lachie and of course my very special brother Alex.
I love clothes. I change mine at least ten times a day. Even when I go to daycare I ask Mum what other clothes I've got in my bag to put on.
Over the last few days instead of normal clothes I've been playing dress ups and using all my costumes.
I'm not quite sure what I'm trying to be here (Mum thinks maybe Aunty Louby)
Then a pussy cat
Then a fairy, I even got Mum dressed up as a wizard, it was Halloween afterall!
Plus I've also been a baker and a ballet dancer. I really wanted some big kids to come trick or treating to our house tonight so I could see their costumes. I bought lollies and everything for them but none turned up.
We're really lucky at the moment as we have a nanny student for 3 weeks. We're supposed to be helping her learn about looking after kids but we all think she's so wonderful we should just keep her.
She plays lots of fun games with me and has me doing all sorts of exciting activities like making bracelets and hot air balloons. Then I take charge and we play schools and having picnics.
On Saturday 17 October, I (Alex) was christened. I'm just putting the date in because the priest said I have to celebrate it like another birthday - party, party, party. Plus when certain people were quizzed about my actual birthday they got it wrong! Not mentioning any names Dad and Aunty Kathryn!
I was a very good boy all day. I had a big sleep, Mum even had to come and wake me up so I could get up in time for it. It may have had something to do with the fact that I had found my thumb to suck on!
Then I got dressed up in a frilly white dress...
Then they tried to drown me, but I didn't cry....
After that I was tired so I went back to bed, but Mackenzie said it was worth it because she loved the party.
Thanks everyone for sharing my special day with me and for all my presents.
My favourite game at the moment is playing going to school.
Here I am along with all my friends on the bus on the way to school.
First we have to stop at day care though to drop Alex off.
I keep talking about going to school, Mum thinks I want to skip the whole being 4 thing and jump straight to 5, after all I am a big pre-school girl now.
